TEKLEEN® self - cleaning irrigation water filters were designed to fulfill the growing need for efficient and effective irrigation filtration. The filters are typically designed to filter out suspended solids such as dirt, sand, silt debris, algae, and organic material from well, ditch, river, or municipal water.
A well designed water treatment system features a screen area large enough to handle the fluctuating dirt loads. Emitters, such as sprinklers, micro jets, and drip systems require different size screens. Common sizes are as follows: 20 - 40 mesh for sprinklers, 40 - 80 mesh for micro jets, and 100 - 200 mesh for drip systems. In addition, open canal water and reservoir water require an extended screen area.

Automatic Water Filter Streamlines Drip Irrigation
Drip irrigation systems take the worry out of watering – unless emitters become clogged with dirt and other contaminants that spew forth from the water source. Then watering becomes a labor-intensive process requiring constant monitoring and frequent cleaning, often canceling out the time and money saved by the drip system itself. more ...
